Retro Bride – An Alternative Bridal Gown Style

;)
The reason I became so fascinated with weddings is because I am a freelance makeup artist. I have been meeting new brides every weekend for years. I have been so lucky to see a variety of wedding gowns in my time. One that made a striking impression was a lot like this retro tea length gown. The bride wore a gown like this – minus the black sash, and she wore hot pink shoes! It looked very classic, like Marilyn Monroe walks down the aisle. The style fit the bride’s personality well. She was spunky, outspoken and not traditionally feminine. The dress looked just right for her personality. Plus, the wedding was outdoors so the alternative wedding gown was appropriately casual. An added bonus to choosing a non-traditional wedding gown is the cost. The is a $149 dress! That’s a fraction of the wedding gown cost that most brides pay. Plus the dress is unique and your wedding guests will be talking about it long after the ceremony and reception.
So before you splurge on that Monique Lhullier dress, think about going a different route. You could free up space in your wedding budget – and maybe amp up your honeymoon trip.
