Winter wedding canopy idea

Snowflake Ceiling

If you’re wedding reception or ceremony is taking place in the winter, you can set up a winter canopy easily. As the photo above illustrates, you’ll need a big quantity of helium filled balloons. To customize this balloon ceiling for a winter theme wedding, here’s a great idea: make snowflakes! Just like you did in gradeschool fold up paper and cut wedding snowflakes. Attach the snowflakes to the end of the balloon ribbon. If you attach snowflakes to all the wedding canopy balloons, you’ll have a snowy reception, and a beautiful addition to your winter theme.

Another idea: have your wedding guests cut the snowflakes themselves and attach them to the balloons. This would be a great ice breaker for adults and kids during the cocktail hour.

Dangle a homemade snowflake from the balloons on the ceiling. It will be like snow’s falling on your dancefloor.
